Created in 2021, Inolib is an eco-responsible digital consulting agency that specialises in digital accessibility and GDPR compliance. Showcased by a visually and ergonomically outdated website, the agency called on the Apside Lyon Lab to improve it and modernise its visual identity.

The customer context

The challenges of this assignment were therefore to redesign the look of the site, add UX-UI expertise and then work together with the client so that it could contribute its know-how in terms of digital accessibility. Apside was then able to assist the client in creating a modern, intuitive and accessible website.

Our expertise

In order to assist Inolib, one Apsidian was mobilised on the issue. Frédéric is an integrator and front-end developer with expertise in UX and UI design. With this assignment, our Apsidian noticed the opportunity to get better on the concepts of digital accessibility. The challenge of this assignment was to find solutions to the accessibility issues while proposing a high-quality UI redesign.
Digital accessibility in the field of interface design is based on several criteria.Indeed, for example, the work revolves around the contrast of the elements on the page, the colours, the way the information displayed, the placement of the elements, the links or even the navigation information. All these concepts are studied so that the overall legibility of the information remains fluid, properly ordered (important for people viewing the screen who are visually impaired) and accessible to all.

Our support

In order to complete this project, our Apsidian began by listing the customer needs, functional features, content and the overall tree structure of the site in order to formally document the requirements and specifications of the project.
Then, Frédéric began to create wireframes and prototypes to understand and test the structure and hierarchy of the information. Once these wireframes and prototypes were validated with the client, the visual design phase began.
Finally, Apside was able to return the models (designed on Figma) to the Inolib team, including the development teams. Each page and each feature was then reviewed and validated in full. The final visuals were delivered to the client so that they could launch the development phase of the application on their side.

At the end of this assignment, the Inolib agency was particularly happy with the site delivered by Apside! Furthermore, the benefits of this were twofold because, thanks to the various exchanges and discussions with Inolib on digital accessibility, our Apsidian was able to improve in this area and contribute new knowledge in terms of their UI-UX expertise to subsequent projects.
