We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with extensive experience in data quality analysis and data management. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, documenting, and analyzing information management requirements, conducting ongoing data quality assessments, and optimizing data models. This role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including development teams, business leaders, and enterprise architecture teams, to ensure the seamless integration of data across various systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, document, and analyze information management requirements.

  • Develop and execute data quality analysis plans, ensuring ongoing monitoring and resolution of data quality issues.

  • Identify discrepancies in data format, content, and values, and work with the business team to resolve these issues.

  • Create, review, and validate conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure compatibility with architectural principles and optimal solution design.

  • Propose standards, rules, and guidelines for data analysis at the enterprise level.

  • Design and optimize data models, and derive conversion and migration methods for existing data.

  • Maintain an enterprise-wide view of data and collaborate with information governance analysts to ensure compliance with governance standards.

  • Work closely with management, stakeholders, development teams, DBA, and infrastructure teams to enhance data management practices and delivery.

  • Provide technical leadership in data management initiatives and communicate closely with management about deliverables, schedules, risks, and contingencies.

  • Create and deliver data quality analysis reports and weekly status updates for stakeholders.

  • Support the setup of data quality analysis frameworks and work with business resources to ensure data quality is upheld across all systems.

Project-Specific Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large volumes of information with precision and attention to detail.

  • Expertise in Data Quality Analysis, including using data quality tools (experience in this area is an asset).

  • Solid understanding of data elements, structures, and systems.

  • Experience in working with data migration, ETL development, and database administration.

  • Ability to reverse engineer source-to-target mappings to gain data insights.

  • Proficient in SQL programming, with over 7 years of experience in SQL development and refactoring.

  • Hands-on experience in data modeling, metadata management, and master data management.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in dimensional and relational data modeling.

  • Extensive experience with SQL programming and data quality tools.

  • Experience in Azure Data Platform technologies or other cloud offerings (e.g., Spark SQL, Python).

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI report development.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on critical thinking, time management, and priority planning.

  • Ability to interpret requirements and design documents, ensuring alignment with business needs.

  • Ability to write and maintain clear and concise documentation.

Preferred Skills (Assets):

  • Experience working in an Agile environment/team.

  • Familiarity with Denodo platform and IBM tools like Data Manager and InfoSphere DataStage.

  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.

Qualifications:

  • Over 7 years of experience in data management and quality analysis.

  • Proven expertise in data lifecycle management, including business intelligence and database administration.
